Free State Coffee Co is a family-owned and independent coffeehouse in Haslet, Texas, built for the early mornings, open roads, and unhurried conversations. Born from a relentless pursuit of a dream worth building, we created the kind of place we hope feels like home – a place to slow down, gather together, and enjoy the simple things.

House Espresso

Where we
get the goods.

Our signature espresso is roasted by a family-owned shop in Colorado and sourced from four single-origin regions. It's 100% Arabica — sweeter, more nuanced notes of fruit, chocolate, and caramel, with none of the harsh bitterness of Robusta.

Every shot is pulled on a Wega machine, built just outside Venice, Italy. Its thermal stability and pre-infusion tame the bright notes into a velvety, balanced pull — extremely smooth, every time.

The Sweet Base

Colombia

Milk chocolate, caramel, and nuts — the balanced foundation that holds up beautifully in milk drinks.

The Rich Body

Guatemala

Depth and a heavier mouthfeel with dark-chocolate sweetness and a subtle hint of warming spice.

The Smooth Honey

Costa Rica

A clean, crisp finish with honey sweetness and mild citrus that softens the heavier notes.

Drip Coffee

Moravian.

Our drip comes from Moravian Coffee, roasted just up the road in Midlothian, Texas. We're running their El Clásico, a medium roast they call a daily driver — cocoa, hazelnut, and caramel with a medium body and a clean, sweet finish.

Single-origin Guatemala, washed and grown between 1,500 and 1,700 meters. It's versatile enough for drip, espresso, or cold brew — we brew it hot all day, and over ice when the Texas heat asks.
